Triples and Quadruples games

Hi, it's my first post on these forums :)

i was going to join a new game now, but i noticed a million Triples and Quadruples games with the same group and they all seem to have very high ranks. I was wondering why some newcomer like me would want to join such a game and team up with 3 noobs to play against 4 pros? The outcome is obvious.

wouldn't it be better if when the game is created and players join it, they are randomly put in one group or the other so they are better balanced?

I suggest start your own team game and perhaps all joining will be at your level. I like to play team games with people I know will not miss turns and have a clue how to play as one. That is why you see similiar ranked players together.

Suggested and declined many times. Try to find some similarly ranked friends to have a private game with you.

There is one benefit of playing higher rank players than you. If you lose, your points will barely drop which will not really effect you. But if you win you are guaranteed to win a lot of points because they are out of your playing level. But I normlly stick with trying to play people in my level. Just a thought though because I played someone very high ranked and lost only 9 points. If I would have won I maybe would have gained around 60 points. So the choice is up to you. :)

I noticed that, it's a good idea.

I already won one game with many higher ranked players and gained 140 points from it.
and it looks like i'm going to get a load of points here too: [game]4865135[/game] because it's a 5 player game, even though most of the opponents haven't got a lot of points

Yeah your doing good. In fact if I were you I would continue to play those games because your doing so well and winning a lot of games. Because heck, what do you have to lose? Maybe 9 or 10 points. It's worth it if whats on the line is 140 points. :)
