Scoreboard says 19,100 active members. I think there were about 21,000 last month. Why did it just drop by 2,000 people? Does it usually drop over summer?

when school is in session the numbers go up, when it is summertime, christmastime, spring break, finals, etc... traffic slows down....

There have been several polls, and my recollection is around 22. My clan had an internal poll and the bulk of them were 18-25.

They all caught a strange jungle computer virus and can't play anymore.

Upon further retrospection, I am absolutely certain that I have had a decent number of Pinkys in my classes...though I seem to have been short of The Brains.

i disagree. i'd say maybe 10-15 at most. and of those, how many are active forum goers? 1-2 at most...

then again, it depends on the school. for example, ohio state or usc are what 50,000 enrolled? whereas a small school like uc berkely or uva will be around 20,000 max (probably closer to 15000).

if there are 20,000 active users worldwide, and there are 6 billion people in the world... well thats a small percent.

I'm new here but it seems to me that a lot of these players are 'dummy' accounts. I think they are used to sucker people into buying the premium membership.

First they intentionally wait in between turns to frustrate the player. And they also don't really try to win so the player thinks they are really good and are more likely to buy.


Seriously - one game I'm in (4 players) not only have 2 players missed 2 turns but they've each taken 23+ hours between turns multiple turns as well. And it's different times of day - they aren't playing many other games. And - they suck at the game.

I don't believe these are real accounts.

Little kiddies play CC at school - they tell their mates, who sign up, join a game, start their turn, but then don't have a fucking clue what to do, hence the number on the Scoreboard is high.

That's my masterful theory.

People are making money from the site. How hard is it to join a game and then not play?
