Anyhow, I think it's a forced attempt at illustrating something "important." Looks to me like a first year art student with too much time on his hands.

Would it be racist if McCain had won and someone did that to his picture? No. Did the person have racist intent, we can never know, (unless of course he or she were to come forward and say so).

Agreed. Obama is a disaster, but this poster campaign is just stupid. Misrepresenting someone's face and putting "socialism" under it proves nothing.

If there is a lot of outcry over it, well, nightstrike's link answers that pretty well.

First I don't think the picture is racist, it is what all political figures face when they do something that people do not like.

Second, is it not racist to think that Obama (a black man) cannot handle the same kind of assualts that Bush and other white presidents have faced? And when I say that I'm talking about the multitude of people who demonize the artist who created the piece by calling the artist a racist.

I mean I agree that Obama is a socialist and I also agree that he is a joke but I don't get the pairing of the image with the word..
