As we can clearly see here, the Blue states are the states that it is always acceptable to be from.

Red states are pretty wacked out and should probably be occupied again until they knock it off with the constant stream of crazy, especially if they are Cowboys fans.

The light blue states are largely hopeless and should only remain open for the coal mining, or The Wire, or whatever other vital national resource comes from them.

The white states are largely a toss up, but definitely swing wildly between off-the-charts craziness (remember who settled UTAH), hallucinogenic detachment (remember where all the hippies went NEW MEXICO, ARIZONA, WASHINGTON), or shoot-you-in-the-face-friend mentality (WYOMING).



How much has really changed since 1864?

We got Hawaii.

It has changed a lot since the 50s/60s though (pre-civil rights). I guess somewhere between the civil war and civil rights its switched itself around.

Thats the election from 1952, notice how the red/blue is the other way around? The deep south used to be the homeland of the Democrats before the civil rights movement, now it is back to the "red" party. My point was just that it's back to what it was in 1864, but after switching around in the 60's which meant that it must have switched around sometime before.

yeah the mormons founded utah what used to be a desert and what is know a thriving growing community and yes early on before the us government outlawed polygamy men in the church could have more than one wife, usually 2-3 and not one of them was kidnapped or taken against their will mormons from the very get go have always placed value on womens opinion if i remember right the men wouldn't vote until after they talked it over with their wife. and no one was slaughtered as the pioneers went west the whole reason the pioneers went west was because they wanted to avoid bloodshed. i wouldn't say geniuses but i would like to see any of you even attempt to go through all that they did. could any of you move from new york to ohio then to missouri where mobs kicked you out of your homes with barely any food and little clothes, then move to navoo illinois were they drained a swamp and built a beautiful city and a temple, then in the middle of the winter be forced out of their homes and have to start the trek west, and to top it of in the middle of there trek the us goverment needed more men to fight in the mexican war so they ask for volunteers from the mormons, the government got the volunteers, mainly because they needed money so they became soldiers to get paid so that they could send the money back to their families. after the volunteers left it was mainly women who had to get the family moving west. you can't imagine their joy when they reached the salt lake valley and told this is where they would stay. and this was only the first wagon train. how about the suffering of the handcart pioneers of the willie and martin hand cart companies.
and as for this lie about jesus, jesus loved everyone regardless of color, race or ethnicity, yes he was white and no he came to save everyone, in fact the mormons were against slavery and they accepted black members into the church

Mormons are kidnappers, murderers, thieves, and racists, is the point. Whatever you were taught in Mormon school was clearly biased. The truth is they were pushed out of every place they went to, because they were such weird and violent pedophiles. I mean, people were really rather religiously tolerant in this nation, but the Mormons took it way too far, constantly impugning other people's rights, by kidnapping them and raping them and stuff.

People in the blue states call the red states "Flyover" states, as you just flyover them on the way to and from the important parts of the country.
People in the red states call the blue states "i hope all the ice melts and the blue states are all under water" as they are what is wrong with America.

Not what the fundie mormons claimed. Mormonism is shit-crazy with the whole Jesus went to America, he was actually white and not a hewbrew with a lightish brown skin and the whole "your skin is black because you're a sinner, repent and you'll get white like us".

i would like to know where you find all these lies. and they were pushed out of everyplace because they belonged to the true church, the church of jesus christ of latter day saints, and if they were so violent how come they never fought back they just meekly moved on and no true mormon would ever kidnap murder rape or rob anyone, why because we care about our spirits and we wish to live with god when we die so why would we do all maner of evil things and go to hell when we can live righteously and go to heaven? and the mormons were the religiously tolerent ones, did you not pay attention in history class people didn't like what the mormons taught because it went against what their preachers taught them, like joseph smith and the first vision.
and you know when you say mormons live like this you are saying christ lived like this, because we try to follow the saviors example in all that we do and say.

That's the first thing that came up with a simple search. I might be able to find some articles from newspapers from the 1800s later, I remember seeing such articles when in college. They were pretty reviled by the rest of civilized America for a damn good reason. They were violent and evil, and really weird. Kind of like the Manson family of the 1800s, a dangerous cult.

umm i am a mormon, and your probably geting your facts confused. yes jesus went to america, yes he was a jew, and as for the black skin that is something you can find out about if you read the bible, it is in their, and no he didn't say for blacks to repent and get white like us, they have black skin for a reason
and as for forced polygamist marriages, i repeat the mormon church does not practice polygamy other offshoots or cults do, i believe there is one down in texas. ill say it one last time the mormon church is against polygamy, because we believe in obeying the law of the land, meaning that we follow the countries laws, so since polygamy is against the law we don't practice it.

Here's a great book about the subject. Granted, it focuses on a couple brothers, but provides the context out of which such monsters are borne: the Mormon church.
