July 1, 1867
Canada Day is a momentous day in North American history. Under the Constitution Act (previously the British North America Act), the colonies of New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, and the United Providence of Canada collectively formed a single country called Canada. On this day, Canadians at home and all across the world celebrate the founding of their home.
July 4, 1776
Independence Day for the United States of America was a triumph for not just a revolution in a war sense, but in a revolution for democracy. The American Revolution was a historical precedent many would follow - the underdog had finally won, the colony overthrew her queen, and the Age of Empires would soon see its close. On this day, not only do we celebrate for the end of a war, but for a new wave of freedom, liberty, and peace.
