In terms of tournaments- if a player A is asked to throw a game in order to manipulate who moves on (say, to get player B in the finals), is there a tournament-specific rule against player A doing it, and if not, how usual run-of-the-mill vs. frowned upon is this?

Other: I think that mapmakers maybe should choose for themselves, based on how many start points/territories they have, how many players to allow. This could, of course, be debated in the Forge, but it seems that allowing more players on huge maps makes sense, while letting 15 people play on Doodle ...
