Having played two rounds in a six player game and already eliminated one of the players, my impression is that either this map requires very careful resource management or this map is a mess.

If this moves up to the "Maybe" list, I think a moving average would be more useful than a raw average, and possibly easier to implement.

"Geometric moving average" is computationally efficient, because you only need to track the current value and the new value.

Non-Roman characters in game chat are converted to question marks

I like the one-way nature of the U.S. and Baathist loyalty squares the way it is now. It does a good job of modeling quagmire. "Now look what you've done, you careless commander: you have stuck your forces someplace from which you cannot retreat."

King of the Mountains, continued

The error reappeared, and the so-far successful workaround is:
⋅ Uninstall BOB, including saved preferences ⋅ Uninstall Greasemonkey ⋅ Restart Firefox ⋅ Reinstall Greasemonkey ⋅ Reinstall BOB.

I will let you know if anything interesting happens ...

I uninstalled Ajax BOB, including preferences, then reinstalled, then opened a javascript console window to see what I could see.

Now there are no errors.

4.3.6 works on Scotland, fails on King of the Mountain

I get a Greasemonkey error upon loading a King of the Mountain game with BOB 4.3.6. The error text is ...

uncaught exception: Permission denied to call method XMLHttpRequest.open

... and the first symptom is, the territories owned by a player do not highlight when I rollover the player's name ...
