Manual Initial Troop Deployment - Could be better, alot better

I loved the idea of manual troop deployement when I first heard of it, "gone are the continent bonuses on first move, gone are the daft drops" I said. I was a bit dismayed when I saw what it actually consisted of.

The "manual" option ...

Finally Ive dragged myself over 2000 .... most games seem to mention a "standard" password... can I get it??

FOrgive me for being dumb... but what is the benefit of points dumping?

You lose a tonne of points, and have to play less game to get those pooints back.... but ultimately you get back to an even keel.... seems kind of pointless...

Has the tourney been dumped? first one i seemed to be doing ok in!?

I think so but we have always played you choose a territ each turn with 3 units on... once the board is full you then get your normal reinforcement round... It works well, its very rare someone lands a whole continent, one of you would block them.

Concise description:

Everyone has had games like it.... someone lands a whole continent at the beginning of the game or you get dropped in the worst place possible so you are pretty useless through the whole game... Maybe there is a way to solve this... Sequential deployment.
