OK Demon. I understand math. But how is the loser's score and the winner's score determined?

Ranking doesn't explain it.
The 36 point loss was to a 1bar Cadet. The 11 point win was to a 1 striper Private. I'm a seargent.

I'm sure there's a logic, and I'm probably being pessimistic, but could someone explain the scoring system?
I just lost 36 points in a 2 player game on the Middle Earth map in 8 rounds. In a very similar game a few weeks ago, I won in 8 rounds and earned 11 points.

Check their game log as to how many doubles games they have played.

The update looks great. It implemented in the middle of my turn and didn't seem to affect anything. But a few rolls later I took out another player, got his cards, and couldn't turn 'em in in mid-turn.
