Bollocks - joined one of those BR games when only like 2 or 3 people signed up. After an hour very few other people had joined. Had to go away for an hour and when I get back it is full and almost finished... that sucks big time.

Or you could just have a sign underneath the map saying "Next card set cashed in receives XX armies" during escalating games.

I agree, no log would vastly improve FOW games in particular, and is a way I would love to play. And I 100% disagree with people who say it will remove strategy in the game ...

Yeah, both of those are good alternate ideas for it.

Concise description:

In FOW games, having an option to deploy (sacrifice?) a scout/spy army or armies at the end of your shot to an enemy's territory to see how many armies are in that and neighbouring territories.

Specifics:

In real life conflicts, armies can send scouts/spies out to ...

With regard to the mountains, they are where they are as that is where they are in NZ.

I don't want to put mountains where they don't actually appear in the country.

I also thought it would make it more interesting having a continent that wasn't regularly shaped, so not so easy to defend ...

Ok, have changed the design a little bit.

Have rotated the map so it is more screen friendly.

Have included the sea territories again as of the massive number of people that voted in the poll (5 people), 3 said they were a good idea.

Have done some minor decoration to the map, but ...

1) A poll... excellent idea! I have now done so!
2) Easily fixed. Will maybe leave this till last once I've got everything else sorted.
3) Figured this would be the case. Cause I know what they say I can read them... just. Will have a play around with fonts and styles, although suggestions are ...

ok, have updated the map to make the proposed continents the same colour.

sorry, the greens at the bottom are completely separate from the greens at the top...

So you've got the red/orange ones at the top, the light green in the middle of north island, the browny green on east of north island, and yellows at bottom of north island. Then there's the sea territories ...

Yeah? I figured the sea territories opened the map up a bit and would make it more playable, otherwise the only link between north and south will be between Wellington and Marlborough.

How about to open up the borders I put in airports or something like that to link the likes of Auckland to Wellington and Christchurch, and Well to Christch?

Yeah, the narrow-ness of the map is what I thought would be the main limiting factor. Have updated the pic above to show a rough idea of continents grouped by similar colour.
