What's best to develop at the start?

So far I got a couple of wood and clay upgrades and main hall.

Did you go through the Tutorial? After that, read the Help link at the top of the screen...and then look in the forum for the FAQ and read that too.

If you want to join the tribe, just click on "Reports" at the top...you've already been sent an invite. There should be a symbol of some sort there ...
