When I go into a game, it tries to load BOB then hangs at "BOB Initializing". This happens for all games. It was working fine yesterday. What do I do?

Although I have greasemonkey installed without an issue, a firewall prevents me from accessing or even viewing anything on the userscripts.org domain.

Can someone put the Bob script somewhere else (like conquerclub.com)? Is there a way of downloading and sending myself the script from another ...

I am going to be away for a couple of days and need as a favor someone to help babysit a game (just one game, and it is a stable no-spoils affair).

I managed to upgrade greasemonkey (was a serious pain to do it because of firewall issues) and it fixed the problem where it hangs with "initializing BOB" or "parsing XML". I would recommend that as the way to go for any with similar issues

Unfortunately, I cannot upgrade, so I would still be interested in a solution at some point. It does seem like I am not the only one.

My PC is neither ancient nor new. It has adequate memory. I tried loading really simple games (2 player, 1st round, simple map etc ...

Issues are on all games:

running Windows XP
Firefox 3.0.15
Greasemonkey 0.8.20080609.0
Bob 4.10.1

It hangs at "Initializing BoB"

My BOB has stopped working. When it loads, it simply hangs with a "parsing XML" error. I have tried uninstalling and re-installing it, but to no avail.

Can anyone help please?

I think the general point is that, while in this game, it may make little difference, in certain games, it could be a significant advantage to be auto-kicked; this is less likely to be of benefit when you're deadbeating since that takes 3 turns (and it would be difficult to plan ahead that far). But ...
