I went crazy and started counting more unusual attack routes, inspired by the 3 hop comment.

I put a * for each opposing force piece that can attack the square.

I really like this map, you've done fantastically well with the look and it looks like it will be fun to play. It works nicely with the Asia map starting where that one stops. I did notice a couple grey dots near the top right though, look like leftover uncoloured bits of island or something ...

Why not give them neutrals equal to their score? This would mean the higher numbers needed to win are blocked until later in the game, and will provide an artificial continenting system where players grow first around the smaller numbers before moving to the winning numbers.

that's a pretty convoluted way to misinterpret a 'nym, I doubt too many people would take it that way (though the 'white' plus '88' really doesn't help). Trust me, I'm an expert on being mistaken for a white supremacist.
