Re: Rigged dice

The obvious solution is to let us roll our own dice, for real, and then type in the results. Otherwise there's no guarantee that the dice are working like real dice would.

Yeah but someone could type in a fake number, like they rolled 1,2,4 and the dude says he rolled 4, 5, 6.

Please tell me ...

Re: Question about dice...

I normally notice that for a turn my dice are good or they are bad. IF my dice seem to be doing real good then i keep attacking. IF they lose a few times i just stop to not kill my whole army.

To me that is saying you believe the dice to be streaky...
i.e
if your on a winning roll keep going ...

Re: Question about dice...

Cool - dice problem solved. What about the posters?

LordThor - streaky, several posts of double 1s then suddenly hit a purple patch of 6s late on - will it be enough?

Not when my CC dice have only three sides and a non random eliment clearly statisticaly streaky.... or freaky...

Thanks for ...

Re: Question about dice...

Thezzaruz.... Eureka! the penny drops, the odds are not as i had believed, and the draws are not as i had been interpreting, (draws on a single roll) thus the expected probabilities all change and your calculations now make sence to me, and i agree with your statement on overall stats, they do seem ...

Re: Question about dice...

Thankyou Thezzaruz, for taking the time to do the numbers, it is appreciated, and im sure once i have had the time to read and digest it, in order to understand your points, i will agree with you.
But at a very hurried glance i need to grasp where the draw stat goes or the principle, as Timminzz and ...

Re: Question about dice...

Once again Klobber you have not dissapointed, a complete waste of a reply....
re-read what was said 3 numbers on the dice, not three sides.. but that is imaterial to anyone with a moderate amount of common sence, therefore i would urge others with lesser need to massage their egos, not to get side ...

Re: Question about dice...

In particular the 1v1 and 2v2 highlights far more losses than you would expect, then you have the 1v2 and 2v1 results unless i am mistaken they should read similar but in reversal, as it is they both show results highly in favour of the server dice.
You are mistaken, but not necessarily for the ...

Re: Question about dice...

Okay, so hypothetically (correct spelling), if a gaming site has dice that are perfectly unpredictable, what possible problem could there be with such dice?

Klobber while it is clear you have an ego the size everest that requires constant massaging i and many others would appreciate it if you ...

Re: Question about dice...

I think wether the dice are predictable or not is not an issue....
Do they have to be predictable to be flawed in there design.... i think not...
Simply not being able to predict the numbers on the dice does not make the dice a success.
Is anyone saying hypatheticly you can win 1000 battles in a ...

Re: Dragonsbane Sever Dice Hacking

I suspected someone of dice hacking but dont know if its possible, hes a reasonably new player with almost 50% win rate against all ranks, but it was the incredible run of fortune with the dice that made me suspect foul play for the first time since i joined cc.
It wasnt like i had really bad luck ...

Re: How much of this game is influenced by chance?

From my short time on this site, and my limited experience, luck plays a very big part in the game, that is not to say that skill can often overcome a moderate amount of bad luck.
But there is no doubt in my mind that if you have 3 turns of lousy luck at the start of any game you are in a loosing ...

Re: Protecting points spoils games.

The opposite is true in Terminator games where the high ranks are a target from the start because they offer the biggest reward. Similarly, in the start of most multiplayer games people will attack the highest ranks more often because they deem them to be the biggest threat later in the game. This ...

Protecting points spoils games.

I think its the system of Points and ranks needs a good looking at...
The general idea that if you win against a good experienced player you earn more points, against a lower ranked player less points, is a good idea in an ideal world, the system should offer some degree of protection for new ...

Re: Do you own a gun?

Its not so much that i want to take your gun away captain.crazy, but more my opinion that guns should not be carried in normal day to day life full stop.
I do think that if guns were not so readily available and tighter laws were enforced to prevent them being carried as a normal way of life ...

Re: Do you own a gun?

Thank God im British, guns are not common, shootings even less so as a result,

In my opinion, more and more people are going off the rails these days with pressures of modern life etc, if guns are allowed to be carried and are in the public domain, then more deaths will occur.

Re: Evolution vs Creation-Comparing each View

Evolution: Has factually based evidence to back up theory.
Creation: Has factually based evidence to back up theory.

The difference for me is Evolution has factually based evidance that disproves the Creation theory, and the Creation Theory then evolves to take into acount this new factually based ...
