Third Crusade (Beta)

Well, I'm playing on the map Third Crusade. Seeing as it's my first time, I'm not very sure of one thing.

In the bottom left hand corner, it says that Victory can be achieved by holding any starting point, Jerusalem, Antioch and the Vatican or Granada. What exactly does it mean by starting point?
