If I play a game with someone and they don't whine, don't bitch, play smart and make all their turns, I'll give them 5's. To me, that's a good player and I don't see any issue with or why it should be labeled as "abuse".

I've been in some long ass games on here and seemed like they were going nowhere. But they were going somewhere, just very slowly. Eventually they ended and it feels damn good to win a game like that. These are some of my favorite games. Much more fulfilling in victory over the slaughter in 8 rounds ...

Those dice are the same ones that will lead you on an unstoppable, destructive path at times too. There have been games where I was amazed at how few times I lost armies in a territory battle.

Just keep a set of real dice handy so you have something to throw when you get hosed.

I think it is a good idea if helps other players. But you can't play this game with just one strategy because typically the game you are playing will dictate your strategy. You may have moves you like to perform, but the game you are in is not suitable. The best strategy is adaptation.
