Quenched maps should be moved?

Postby hulmey on Sat Jun 23, 2007 5:32 am

Just got a good idea concerning the forums/sub-forums clean up.....

The final forge sub-forums should be just that and once a Map has been Quenched it should be moved somewhere else (maybe we need another sub-forum named "Quenched").

What does the foundry think?

Yes, as long as it doesn't take up too much time and effort. There is no point in filling the Final Forge sub-forum with loads of quenched maps

Yeah, no need for tags at all except for [Done], then. Makes more sense.

Got my support hulmey :)

\\EDIT: I think Quenched should have their own subforum in the Map Foundary forum....afterall their is another discussion and amendment process for map in the Final Forge process.

I think it is a good idea. That way everyone knows where to go to look at the development of past maps. No need to pick through current FF maps to find them.

Should the Quenched be under the map foundry forum or under the Final Forge Sub Forum? (If that is possible)

I don't believe the Map Foundry should have another sub-forum, but the Quenched maps go to the main Map Foundry forum. It is a good idea, but another sub-forum would just be too much.

But then they'd be mixed with the middle-stage-of-development maps.

unless the quenched map threads don't get posted in, they will go down to the bottom of the page.

I think the quenched maps should stay in final forge, but once they are uploaded and playable, move the thread into a "playable maps" forum or something like that. then instead of searching the whole final forge page for a map that was uploaded, you only have a list of 30ish threads/

Personally I think the main forum should contain the map ideas...

The map ideas forum should be changed to "Maps in Development"

Final forge can stay... although perhaps renamed to...

"Forged & Quenched"...

I agree with Skittles - once the quenched maps are fully functional they will no longer get posted in and will sink.

I think quenched should be a subsub forum of the foundry and a sub forum of Final Forge.
Warning: You may be reading a really old topic.

That probably works the best, the quenched maps are more just final final forge.
