Problem with the Map Maker XML Tool

I have determined that the Map Maker XML Tool has a problem with XML URLs that have embedded spaces, even if they are encoded as %20. It's quite odd, really. The coordinates seem to be accessible, but the Text Map and Continents Summary do not show up.
