Who ever said south america is going to form a south american E.U. is wrong because the countries can't get along together, even when spain ruled it. also, the E.U. will never be a single country if the U.K. and some other countries have anything to say about it. Hey we're talking a hundred years. Take Europe 65 years back.

Also, if the event was to arise where the UK would have to join the single currency or leave Europe, we'd be in the single currency. We're pretty much stalling on the issue until it can be sold to the majority of the population.

I doubt that will ever happen but the UK would be completely insignificant without the benefits Europe holds. We're fairly insignificant with them...

Why does no one think the U.S. can stay as the strongest world power. The U.S. has the strongest army. As some other people said China and India have too many internal problems. The E.U. will never be totally joined to be able to be a world power. And not to be mean but Canada's Canada that will never work.

i think that too many people think of the future as a world like a sci fi movie, or a totalitarian government that rules the world. i think that in 2100, world power will be the same, with US on top. i mean, what has changed from 1900? Germany fell out of power, but the Americans were still near the top.
