Post by newline »

I made this topic for people who are wanting to code in grease monkey, but are just learning how and need help!

<Twildo edit> I went ahead and made the title a bit more appropriate. Hope you don't mind </Twildo edit>

I will hopefully read the game log and recognize when some one attacks someone else and keep track of how many territories each player has(not the number are armies). right now Im confused on how to read the players names off the page? any idea?(code would be helpful)

If you get the latest version of BOB - there is a function called processLog()

Look in there and it should help you...

However - not meaning to piss on your party... but I was planning on coding this into BOB in the near future anyway!!

The Card Counter is part of the site now...

Uninstall everything and look in the top right hand side next to the players names...

I never installed anything (to my knowledge)...just signed up. Paid the membership fee and played. I do not see any card counter info on my games currently....any followup would be appreciated.

Should be a little grey box with a number by each of your opponent's names. If you still don't see it, maybe someone can take a screen shot for you and point it out. Just let us know.

p.s.. just make sure you're looking at a game with cards. :wink:

In the top right you have something akin to the below...

* Team 1:
* 1 yeti_c ( 59-0 )
* 1 kabamaru ( 31-0 )
* Team 2:
* 1 ocheng76 ( 24-0 )
* 1 diijro ( 42-0 )
* Team 3:
* 0 mario64 ( 0-0 )
* 0 gen. falcan ( 7-0 )

The number on the left hand side of your name and after this image...

Image

Is the card count of that player...

C.

PS Of course - this display only shows on games with Cards in!

Have you installed GreaseMonkey already? - I can't remember what it does when you don't have GM already installed... but I seem to remember it doesn't like it...

Alternatively - you could right click on the monkey...

Select "add new script" fill ni the details and press OK...

Then copy and paste the contents of the download into the window that comes up...

... I just installed the latest "Bob" and now all territories have 2 numbers in them. For example, 3's have another 3 under them.

... What's up with that?

Alright, make sure you have it in textedit, go to format->make plain text, and save it as NAME.user.js Then, open Firefox, and drag it into your firefox window.
