How good are you at the classic map?

Post by Sir. Ricco »

I have got to be one of the worst players at the classic map. Out of 12 games I have only won 1. That’s pretty bad.

I have never lost at the classic map. All the games my account has lost were done by my roommate.

Duane: You know what they say about love and war.
Tim: Yes, one involves a lot of physical and psychological pain, and the other one's war.

I play classic about 95% of the time. My win ratio is 32%, But that is deceiving I play terminator and the objective there is not really to be the last man standing although it is a bonus.

My worst losing streak was 23 consecutive games....
Overall though, i win about 1/3'rd of the time (32%)

But there are some players who win 60 - 70% of their games... i guess that means i'm only about half as good as them... good thing i don't ever seem to run into those players in any escalator games...

I'm a middle of the road player around these parts. That means I can probably beat the pants off most people that play risk at home only.

only if you get them to pass out the cards and put 3 men on each territory...

If you play traditional RISK rules you'll find that the strategies you developed here don't prepare you properly for the real game....

I like the Classic map only because opponents have the most experience with it, so also lower ranked people don't go berserk on it as even they know they can't hold Asia from the get-go.

On other maps, people will actually try to do the equivalent of holding Asia from the word go.

Point taken.

I've only played the actual board game about a dozen times (none since I came here) and already forgot that bit of detail.

The title is "WHAT A BLOW", a 1940's print of a girl beating a boy at a fishing derby with only the terrier noticing that the boy has a bite...

But I don't know who the artist was...

grrrrrrrr

indeed... 1 serving 8... time for a rematch!

I think that was during one of my point freefalls... when i lost 23 consecutive games.... and it was while you were on your hot streak to the top...

I think the planet alignment now is more balanced... so lets bring it on...
