POLICE JUST KNOCKED AT MY DOOR

Post by what,me worry? »

The police just knocked on my door and asked me to step outside with them to look at my fence....

I guess CHP chased 2 suspects on probation. The 2 ditched their car, hopped a few fences and ditched their gun in my front yard, then hopped my fence, breaking it, then hopped my neighbors fence.

They asked if I saw anything (which I saw the whole thing), I thought for a 2nd and told them i didnt but if i thought of anything i'd give them a call.

In the bay area theres NO SNITCHING!!!!!

Either way theyll get caught and i get a new fence. Just happened

I'd sure as hell snitch if they broke my fence. I'd be pissed if two idiots contributing nothing to society got off scot-free while the taxpayers had to pay for the damages they caused. Criminals deserve what they get.

or it is our job as a community to help bring criminals to justice. What if those two guys don't get caught, then tomorrow they are involved in a botched drug deal or somethin and an innocent person gets killed or injured by a stray bullet. I'm sure you'll be glad you didn't tell the cops anything

i am all for you not snitching and invite people who automatically assume the opposite to question whether or not that there is a cultural class distinction that makes you feel that you must respond that way.

I mean its a fence folks....lets get some perspective.

When they get caught they have to pay for my fence. I should thank them that shit was falling off its hinges anyway.

The only people involved in a botched drug deal are drug dealers...... its called survival of the fitness. mother natures way of weeding out the undesireable

If it were just some kids messing around and ruining a fence I'd say who cares. But the OP clearly said the cops said they were already on probation and they ditched a gun in the front yard so they weren't exactly harmless

clearly the number of things you can end up on probation for and the fact that they have a gun, doesnt make them dangers to society, and in fact a large number of the things your likely to get put on probation for, are very class based, almost antagonisitically so.

In that type of situation, im not saying anything to the cops either.

This must be a new variable on the theory of evolution...either that or a new reality TV show.

IT IS THE THEORY

Just like daredevils, prostitutes, and junkies. The more of them that die due to their lifestyle the less in the future of them. While the educated, people who take care of them selves and are goal oriented survive. do the math.

Yeah there are a lot of factors involved. I guess we have to agree to disagree :)

I'm more of a statistics kind of guy. If someone is on probation chances are they did do something to deserve it, then with the ditched gun and fleeing from police added on, I figure they are up to no good. Since they are in my neighborhood, where I live and my family and friends live, and I don't want that around me my friends and family, I will give all the help to police that I can.

I actually have a funny story about how I actually unknowingly drove someone running from the cops to a store where their friends picked em up, then I felt funny about the whole situation so I called the cops and sure enough they were looking for him. Luckily enough he called his friend on my cell phone(yeah he was dumb) so the cops called that number and was able to track him down. Felt good about it

It's class based because of desparity. The two guys probably didn't have anything else to turn to except crime. Face it, when people are backed into corners, they do desperate things. So unless we eliminate class (doesn't work, been tried) there will always be class differences. That's primarily why most crime is in the inner city. It doesn't matter if someone is rich or poor, if they do things like that, they're a danger to society and deserve to be adequately punished. And not snitching only endanger society more.

I own 2 guns for hunting. the key facts are that I am not on probation, not fleeing from cops, and not ditching guns in peoples yards. I believe in the 2nd amendment. you fail
