New results

Postby gav88111 on Mon Sep 25, 2006 11:13 pm

It's like an NFL Sunday with the results just pouring in...The team of hendy/alan roper took out Enter Smith/Johnnyrocket24 in the 6th round, and Paulus/hookshotwillaby did precisely the same to Allmighty/invincible.
The Semps fell in the 7th to chard/condor and gunisan/zack met the same fate at the hands of another impressive early round tourney favourite Fireside Poet/Riyanna...There's still a couple fights ongoing as we prepare for the next segment of this elimination tourney.
I find it surprising that no "fight" has gone past 10 rounds yet. The closest was Lord Bailey who fought on gamely after his partner, Sidvicous was taken out earlier. Sadly, Bailey was stopped on cuts in the tenth...
Obviously, this leaves the team of Lord Bailey/Sidvicous as the highest ranking team to "HAVE LOST" thus far..That could change, however. We'll have a new list of the upcoming fights as soon as all participants have entered their respective rings..

Another one in..DavSav/gotheart86 made quick work of wfd336/cramill pummelling them into submission in the 5th.(A very impressive showing!)

I'm in...

Postby gav88111 on Tue Sep 26, 2006 3:47 am

It should also be noted that I am joining the fray as Napoleon 999's partner. God knows, I'm sick of pming people to join and answering the same friggin questions over and over and over....
As soon as somebody else steps up and volunteers to be Napoleon's partner, then I'm back to the press row.(Not to be a hero, but I really want to keep this thing moving. Thank you...Thank you, very much..)

Gotta tip my cap to your dedication on this tourney. Excellent job on the organization and the (gasp) PMing to keep things rolling. Strange that a tourney would be onto week 2 in 1 week's time. Very nice job. =D>

NEW FIGHTS....and late results from the 1st round

Postby gav88111 on Wed Sep 27, 2006 11:21 pm

Finishing up in the initial segment...Barbie/cofari took out janheinr/Zarvinny in the 7th round and Hasaki/zip_disk stomped on the title aspirations of roger dodger/isodice, pummelling them into helpless submission in the 5th!

Now...The New Fights!

AngryAnderson/Gav vs KidTwist/Jonsvoll- (75212)
Napoleon_999/Gav8811 vs chard/condor (75213)
Ronaldinho/Scorba vs Evilclown/Reverend Kyle (75214)
osujacket/blitzaholic vs AK Iceman/areyouincahoots (75215)
Stevegriffiths23/Bretzsky vs maniacmath17/Capt Killroy (75216)
Hendy/alan roper vs Okiewind7/ eolver (75217)
Fireside Poet/Riyanna vs Paulus/hookshotwillably (75218)
Julia Gulia/Master chief vs DavSav/Gotheart86 (75219)
Barbie/Cofari vs Gabon x/ Stbd04 (75220)
zip_disk/Hasaki vs Lord_Bailey/ Sidvicous (75221)
Bighab/IT3USN vs Patsfan/Aries1973 (75222)
Rebecca Gavin/sublime731 vs Evil Semp/ Mrs Semp (75223)

More fights will be forthcoming and, we can assure you all, there will be some grudges getting settled relatively soon. Nothing sweeter than a rematch and I'm working on a couple for the next round.

I'm......trying to think....of something to write...BRING IT BOYS! The upsets are particularly upsetting for those who get upset. I think Yogi Berra might've come up with that...Next round is going to be even more intense! Can you SMELL the title yet? A little bit like roquefort cheese..

The Team of A Man's Brown anxiously waits in the wings for another title shot. They have been training hard since their pummeling from Iceman and Maverick (Cahoots) and earned some serious hardware that should put them back in title contention. They have taken down some tough opponents in elite matches and fought their way to some tough losses. The rumors of the Brown part of A Man's Brown attempting suicide are largely exaggerated and far from true.
