Family guy stole so much from the simpsons. Plus bart beats stewie. The chalkboard thing is the best at the beginning.

It shouldn't. I find family guy's humor the least innovative of the adult-oriented cartoons. I say South Park, even though it's not here, so I'll say the Simpsons 10 years ago, and Futurama now. So Futurama gets my vote in this poll.

South Park, because they just take a stab at everyone. From Michael Moore to the Simpsons, from 9/11 conspiriscists to Family Guy, even Crocodile Hunter.

And yeah. Pretty much all I see when I watch Family Guy (I do often, my roommate loves that show. Which I can understand given what I think of my roommate) it's all lame pop culture references.

Family Guy is one of the dumbest shows on television. It is not creative, funny, subtle, or clever at all in its humor. The Simpsons, on the other hand, is a satirical masterpiece outlining American culture and defined my generation. It is by far, no question, the most superior animated show (if not show) in history.

Futurama and Family Guy are tied. The first because of the quality, and the latter because of the sheer hilarity. They're both great, it's impossible to decide which is better.

So I vote for American Dad. It's the best.

simpsons used to be a great show, but now it's way past it's prime. it used to be sort of like a family-oriented cartoon, and now it's trying to be a cheap PG-13 series about the antics of the characters and random events, something that family guy beat the simpsons at a long time ago.
i've never watched futurama.
rest assured i love family guy, because it's always random and it's absolutely hilarious, but sometimes the manner in which jokes are told get stale (this is worse than that time when... this is like the time we... just like my ancestor [name] Griffin.... etc.)

I'd take Simpsons over Family Guy (through it's whole history Simpsons have been funnier) and Futurama over Simpsons.
