[insert explative here]-- I joined a Circus Maximus game

Post by Ditocoaf »

I joined a Circus Maximus game before I knew what I was doing. It looked interesting, and I was joining games willy-nilly, clicking on whatever seemed to catch my fancy at the moment. Now I'm beginning to realize that I made a big mistake, and I need some advice.

Note, I said advice (which will be very much appreciated), not insults (which won't). Even though what I did was incredibly stupid, I would like to discourage people who have poor social skills IRL and therefore like to act BA online to feed their ego from posting. This includes insults directed at the fact that I posted this topic.

Thank you very much, anyone who can look past what an idiot I am to help out a fool in need.

I think you are paranoid that every post here will be flaming you...No! There is a separate forum for flaming though some times some insults creep in, just ignore them.

Anyway, regarding startegy for the map, I got none sorry!

Oh and welcome to CC :)

I hear some people like to build a wall across all three lanes at some point, fortify it heavily and slowly expand their territory in front of it.

That's usually the easiest thing to do.

Not really much strategy involved in the map.

Stay out of the way (inner or outer lanes) and fortify to 1 spot, especially in fog of war. Go after weak people with cards.

Thank you very much to everyone who was nice, and/or gave me advice. I really appreciate a community that helps out the inexperienced instead of deriding them to boost their own egos. Glad to have found a community with at least a healthy mix of both.

For future Circus Maximus games, I've found the best strategy to approach the map is to play a different map.

Yeah; I think that's going to be my fav tactic in the future.

best tactic I can think of (accept for not playing the map)

If you build a wall someone could attack because you are spreding your people. I think the best thing to do is to build up a huge army on one country. if you are playing with cards keep attacking what is weakest and move all your people in. once your army is big enough to take everyone out move all your men to an inner or outer lane do a full round then move to the middle do a round and then attack the last lane.

Same exact thing happened to me but a little worse:
I joined a triples game in which I was against Jork and 2 others. Besides not understanding how the map worked, my 2 teammates deadbeated 3 times in a row.

Which will happen to you?
