Unless you have bob 4.3.6 it won't read the logs correctly. If you do have 4.3.6, go post in the Bob thread that it's not working. You might also try clicking "view full log" and refreshing. Not sure if that'll work, but since it's an issue with bob not loading the full log, ya never know.

p.s.. in the future, please post bob problems in the bob thread. thanks. topics merged.

good news.........altho my Bob Menu still says my version is 4.2.1......I clicked on "load full game log" and the correct amount appeared in the card redemption spot.......hopefully all is well now. Thanx for the hints wicked.....nice top yer wearing btw....hubba hubba.....

uhoh....update........as soon as I "leave" the game, and go back, it's back to the wrong amount again. Clicking "load full game log" fixes it if you stay there only.

The two aren't related.

When browsing through usergroups, i used to have to click on usergroups again after looking at a group. If i tried to click back, i wouldn't be able to see any more groups until i had refreshed.

Also, i have Bob v.4.3.6 and it hasnt been working at all for me. It is the only BOB script I have installed at the moment. None of the functions seem to work for me. But when i have Bob enabled, i cannot do 2 consecutive actions, I have to refresh the page every time.-- I noticed this taking steve monkeys turns earlier.

Do you have
a) the latest version (4.3.6)
b) more than one version installed?
c) Firefox 3

C.

I didn't think FF3 was out yet,
its not on their page.
How do I get it?

I'm having problems with the new one too....and i tried on both of my computers...same problem. When i goto deploy, or attack...or do anything, i have to hit refresh after any move i make. Another problem with the new one is that there is no stats showing up at all on the page...sometimes theres an "NA" in all the columns but most the time i can't get them to show up, doesn't matter if i turn it off, put it on standard, or put it on extended. Nothing is working anymore....

4.3.6 works on Scotland, fails on King of the Mountain

Post by Unbathed »

I get a Greasemonkey error upon loading a King of the Mountain game with BOB 4.3.6. The error text is ...

uncaught exception: Permission denied to call method XMLHttpRequest.open

... and the first symptom is, the territories owned by a player do not highlight when I rollover the player's name.

It works in a Scotland game.

Firefox 2.0.0.12 for Windows & Mac OS X, same behavior.

I uninstalled Ajax BOB, including preferences, then reinstalled, then opened a javascript console window to see what I could see.

Now there are no errors.

FYI, FF3 beta 4 is due out this week...so hopefully that release will fix the bug.

I can only assume you have the wrong version... 4.3.6 should fix any log multiplication problems.

Superb news. - I can only assume a weird caching issue if it's a specific map.

We're getting reports of "weird caching issues" from several people; doesn't seem to be map specific. Last guy I helped couldn't get anything to work, did all the usual unintalling, turning off, caching, etc... Only thing that worked was him going to another computer and playing from there. Then he went back to his first computer and it was working. This was on the classic map.

King of the Mountains, continued

Post by Unbathed »

The error reappeared, and the so-far successful workaround is:
 1. Uninstall BOB, including saved preferences
 2. Uninstall Greasemonkey
 3. Restart Firefox
 4. Reinstall Greasemonkey
 5. Reinstall BOB.

I will let you know if anything interesting happens.
