Yeah that would be awesome but the big problem would be making it different enough not to infringe on copyright without making it just another map.

mushin wrote:I tore through all the threads, and maybe I just missed it, but I can't believe no one has posted the Star Wars themed maps. You could go nuts there. You could do everything from specific buildings, to planet wide conquest, to galactic battles. You could even do a map of R2-D2 where you have to capture all the different part of the beeping icon.

Just a thought.

you mean you went through the threads and u found no star wars..lmao you lied...

Actually it has been suggested thousands of times and the mods got so sick of it they created a thread to merge all the topics into. (though it might have got deleted or somthing)

Anyway, all star wars maps are utterly impossible due to...

Yes Mushin, This has been suggested time after time after time... We can do something like "Stars At War" or something like that with none of the characters from Star Wars, but nothing from Star Wars.

I've been thinking about a Quad Cities map. Anyone else familiar with the area? Four major cities separated by the Mississippi river east-west & I-74 north-south. Several (local) landmarks and 7 or 8 surrounding towns.

I think a Star Wars parody map would awesome! The croissant thing has to stay. Would be fun trying to come up with parody names for all the planets. We could call the whole map Blue Harvest!

Problem with that is a huge amount of empty space. WWII was basicly two huge areas of battle on exact opposite sides of the world. Possibly a WWII Pacific map would be good which was similar to qwert's WWII Europe, but putting them both together would be nigh on impossible.

europe, most of asia, northern africa, pearl harbor (couldnt resist adding that in 8) ) america could be a bombard, the phillipines, etc etc etc......
