The Republican debates have finished and Ron Paul (c'est moi) has secured the Republican nomination for CC President.

After several close matches, I am happy to extend an invitation to Bspride to be my Republican Vice Presidential candidate.

I don't see a running score of the Republican Debates, so here's my tally:

Middle East: bspride (10), lostatlimbo (7), dfp2dep (4), Grape Ape (1)
World Hunger: lostatlimbo (10), bspride (7), Grape Ape (4), dfp2dep (1)
Global Warming: bspride (10), lostatlimbo (7), dfp2dep (4), Grape Ape (1)
Economics: lostatlimbo (10), dfp2dep (7), bspride (4), Grape Ape (1)
Education: lostatlimbo (10), bspride(7), dfp2dep (4), Grape Ape (1)
Trade: still in progress, but likely lostatlimbo (10), dfp2dep (7), bspride (4), Grape Ape (1)

Tentative Totals:
lostatlimbo = 54
bspride = 42
dfp2dep = 27
Grape Ape = 9

but i still think we should do them all on USA - thats what its all about - every state.

guessing you like this USA map then huh?

=)

i still prefer a mix than the all on one or even two maps. guess its down to our VPs and then Tounrey director..

after putting more thought into it, ive revised my initial suggestion. this one is split very evenly, but still makes sense geographically.

Game 1: California (55) on San Francisco
Game 2: Florida (27) on Caribbean Islands
Game 3: Texas (34) & Oklahoma (7) on Dust Bowl (41 delegates)
Game 4: New York (31) & North Carolina (15) on Civil War (46 delegates)
Game 5: Pennsylvania (21) & Virginia (13) on Civil War (34 delegates)
Game 6: Massachusetts (12), New Jersey (15) & Georgia (15) on Civil War (42 delegates)
Game 7: Washington (11), Oregon (7), Idaho (4), Nevada (5), Wyoming (3), Montana (3), Alaska (3), and Hawaii (4) on Puget Sound (40 delegates)
Game 8: Illinois (21) & Ohio (20) on Great Lakes (41 delegates)
Game 9: Michigan (17), Indiana (11), Wisconsin (10) & Minnesota (10) on Great Lakes (48 delegates)
Game 10: Maine (4), Vermont (3) New Hampshire (4), Connecticut (7), Rhode Island (4), Deleware (3), DC (3), Maryland (10) & West Virginia (5) on USA (43 delegates)
Game 11: North & South Dakota (6) Nebraska (5), Utah (5), Colorado (9), Arizona (10), New Mexico (5) on Rail USA (40 delegates)
Game 12: Missouri (11), Iowa (7), Kansas (7), Kentucky (8), Tennessee (11) on Rail USA (44 delegates)
Game 13: Louisiana (9), Mississippi (6), Alabama (9), South Carolina (8), Arkansas (6) on USA map (38 delegates)

Alright then I will set it up that way....

I will be giving you 3 games at a time to make it interesting and fun as we watch the "results" come in.

After a game is finished I will start the next one.

Here is the final republican standings..

I never got an email about these - I hope I'm not holding everyone up!

I did a search for open games in this tournament, but didn't see anything. If the games are open and waiting for me, can someone PM me the game #s?

Thanks

we dont look good in most of these three games though. the dark horse may prevail.

hehe. i hope to stomp on it though. and relinquish america to the hordes of mexico.

or something.... :twisted:

by the way, with this tournament i think it would be great if we could arrange the winner getting the status next to the avatar changed to president.

yeah... its been very lopsided so far, but my powerhouse maps are coming up, so don't count us out yet. :)

I will be climbing Mt Whitney this time next week and won't be able to take my turns, so I hope you all don't mind waiting another week & a half before starting the next batch of games.

I don't want to come off like a bad sport, but I cannot believe the luck you two have had during this Doubles series.

That's not to discount your play - you've both played smart and effective, but I'm simply amazed at how lopsided the dice have been. No matter how well we start out a game, you cut right through us. And our dice? Well, let's just say the dice have been very unkind to me and bspride.

Usually these things even out in the long run, but this final round of the tournament has been one long suck-fest on our end. If this were a real election, I'd be pointing fingers at a vast Karl Rove vote tampering conspiracy! :)

Barring a series of miracles in our favor, I think victory is out of our reach, so GG to you both. And thanks to cazmart for putting the whole thing together.
