the last person to join the games will always go first so it sucks. at least with sequential the first person is random.
oh and it is very possible to comeback from going second

Daydream (who I must mention got the advantage of first turn in two games) beat me in at least two of my games. I havent finished the third yet but I am so pissed off that I left it for now. I must say, he got amazing dice in one (having lost 0 to get to port), and I got utter sh*t in the second (I lost six stright rolls of two dice each). I wish him luck in the future rounds but he really does not need it.

It happens.. no way to get around it... happend to me lots of times. A few hours ago i lost 11 armies when i took over 2 single guarded territrys. Thats over 0.00somthing chance to happen.
Sad to see you leave tournaments. You still got quite far. Hope to see you in a few public games in the future though
