I do. I guess I got so used to the quote button quoting things that I just can't get used to this level of incompetency. I wonder if I'll actually be able to quote you...

Congrats! Indeed, it seems we've all learned again.

Also, weren't some serious restrictions put on the German military (again) after the war?
Not that I'm aware of.
After WW1 yes, after WW2 the new German constitution only allowed enough troops for self-defense.
Veni I came
Vidi I saw
Vici I conquered

La garde recule. Sauve qui peut! The guard retreats. Save yourself if you can!
Napolean's troops at Waterloo
Which will happen to you?

Operation Market Garden (which was the military battle where the movie came from) was an allied operation that used American, British and Polish forces. It was not per se an American failure, but a allied gamble that for a number of technical reasons did not pay off. It could have shortened the war considerably, but it didn't.
I know a little about this battle as I was the programmer for the Operation Market Gargen Internet Board Game (Derived from a War Game of the same name) for the Multi-Player Games Network in the 90's.
That was a very intesting war game but I may be biased here.

yeah, and you know who hatched that plan... a dumb Brit with a huge fucking ego... Monty, Monty Monty.
so, um, yeah, you see Americans get beaten, but it was Montgomery's shitty planning.
have you ever seen an idealist with grey hairs on his head? or successful men who keep in touch with unsuccessful friends? you only think you did i could have sworn i saw it too but as it turns out it was just a clever ad for cigarettes.
im thinking of reporting this board to the mods its basically just for people to flame americans in which case its flaming outside of the flame boards in which case you guys are in trouble
Just when we start flaming a Brit, people start complaining.
Actually I never like it when non-Americans flame Americans. I mean what do they know about Americans? Do they have to drive the roads with them every day like I do? Why take this morning. I was going down this road, after just comming to a four way stop light, at the legal speed limit (30 MPH) when this Bastard of an American speeds right into me, passes even though there is a double yellow line and zooms down the hill at 55 MPH.
I bet he hasn't paid his taxes yet either. YOU GOT UNTIL MIDNIGHT YOU DAMN BASTARD!
