It's generally considered the best public university.

Anyway, which of those is it? The 3rd one?

actually it's not.
it tends to get a blown up reputation because California is such a large state (6th largest economy in the world, at one point, if not still)
there are other renowned public universities in the nation, i just don't know of any.
oh, i think Texas A&M is still Number 1 in Tragic Bonfire Collapse Related Deaths
Then all of your opinions are invalid.PLAYER57832 wrote:I did not attend any of these universities

it's like the Penn State school system. they have a bunch of campuses, but the one in State College is the best in the system.

Excellent. Good luck.OnlyAmbrose wrote:Oh, and about my major Neoteny... I'm thinking about double majoring. Apparently that's what a good number of Cal students do. Mmhmm. For instance, Oregon State University has one of the better engineering programs in the nation and the best college of forestry in the world.PLAYER57832 wrote:He's from England. Also, in particular fields, other schools often out-rank these "toppers". I don't think Berkeley even has a forestry department .. or one in Ichthyology, for example...but ARE fantastastic for "herps" (frogs, salamanders, etc.).
