I watched the first two episodes of the first series. I never laughed out loud, but it was entirely amusing, very smart, and enjoyable. I'll continue with it for my lunchtime entertainment.

In the first series she had a wonderful technique...

I saw an interview with Stephen Fry that, in order to retain his accent properly, Laurie doesn't drop the accent whenever he's not shooting and therefore it's pretty weird talking to him.

He's pretty dedicated, I didn't even notice it was him untill seeing an announcement of the show, I had watched a bunch of the episodes already but just didn't notice it was him.
