While this avatar is not pornography, it is truly repugnant (if in fact the cat is holding in his mouth what I think it is). I hope the mods will agree that the site would be better off without it.

Although I had seen it, I had not realized what it was. That really is in bad taste...as a parent I hate it; I can see how teenagers might find it amusing......thats a tough one for the powers that be....

Actually, I had noticed, and while I was hopeful that decency might prevail in this case, I wasn't necessarily betting on it.

There are some actual No-No's outlined in the new Forum Guidelines where decency is enforced: No "Bigotry, racism, religion-bashing or aggressively homophobic language". Vulgarity didn't make this list (as such), but there is precedent for certain vulgar language posts to be removed.

And so it could be for vulgar pictures - at the moderator's discretion, of course.

People can get offended about lots of things. Jay's old avatar used to offend me, but I would never dream of asking for it to be removed.
