It doesn't tkae a genius to realize why loads of new recruits join circus games. It can be very confuzing to new people, therefore many CC players who have been here awhile avoid it just because they hate it. But it looks interesting to someone new coming, and they check it out.
I am in the one with Klobber that was mentioned and it filled very quick after me and another joined. Partly cause the other thread I suppose and cause when a couple other decent ranks join in it fills quickly. And tons of noobs don't join my circus games. They are public 8 player Term. games and six player. I have never had more that three join, and that only happened once. It is for sure the settings and so many games waiting. I certainly don't just play them though. I have more now at once than normal. Usually 4 is good to have in the mix. I say it is a fun Terminator map for 6-8 player escalating. One of my favorites actually. And if a noob makes a silly move it usually doesn't hand the game to one player. I can't believe this is the second thread on the circus. Never would have thought this would happen. Gotta post to it
You want another new recruit magnet play some Global Warming 8 player. last one had 4 deads and a dissapearing account. I made one game and bam, the last five were new. Was a jacked up game for sure. I would play it more but not if that is gonna happen.
Well, I remember when I first joined two months ago, I only knew to look at the first page, and join what was there. Experienced people use the game finder, and usually find a game that hasn't made it to the first page yet. So "recruit magnets" are usually just the least searched-for maps; the ones that people either only create, or avoid altogether. CM fits the bill.
when i'm looking for a game to play i use the game finder on Standard, Terminator, Assassin, Seq, Casual. so apart from not looking for freestyle it is what n00bs get when they click join a game.
& i see the same maps by the same people filling that first page all the time.
anyway i go straight to the last page (usually page7) and join something there. there is not much chance of a ? making it through 6 pages of maps without reaching the 4 game limit.
Just for the record, as an experiment, it took me about 2 minutes to trick the site into thinking I'm in Lebanon. I don't think think "being in different countries" is a valid reason to discount multis.

Ah, there's the rub. He doesn't play, he waits three rounds for everyone to deadbeat. If he had to play, he'd lose. That's why he quits games when real players join.

and because of all the ?'s he takes his turn once a week on each of them
This really does look odd, so we'll be looking into it. Since this is such an important discussion, and we're seeking more data and discussion and game examples, I'm going to sticky it. If you have other game examples, from any and every player, please post here.
well once again you can look at my history on hosting public circus and I never had this kind of thing happen. but I don't have 50, more like 2 or 3 at a time waiting. 50 circus, oh that would suck looking at that map that much, and I like the bloody map
Funny though... Klobber normally rocks up to troll any thread in which he's mentioned within 24 hours of its creation. I just can't understand why he hasn't brought his usual brand of belligerent cursing and after-reply post-editing to attempt to stall and ruin any attempts at intelligent discourse here; it's just such a depature from his regular behaviour.

there was another thread about some idea of his that we all shot down, repeatedly. i got a pm from a mod to back off, that i was skating close to the edge. perhaps they deemed his responses went over.

He can't see it because we're all on ignore.
not me! well, I wasn't a couple days ago when I finally got into one of his games.
he has no games waiting anymore so I can't see if he ignored me now or not, I will see soon after my weirdo remarks in chat I left today. If I am not then he should at least say I am an idiot or something.
