There's the tournament ad-hoc but that's only for discussion of tournament creator features.
There's tournament director for the tournament directors, but none just for tournament orgainisers

Hidden usergroups do not show up in the Usergroups list. Tournament Organizers is a hidden (closed) usergroup where only the group leader can let new people in.

Surely a tournament organisers clan should be open and unhidden, anyone can make tournaments so everyone should be able to join the clan.

The Tournament Organizers usergroup (no, it isn't a clan) was created for established organizers who have completed a tournament to discuss potential ways to improve the system and to discuss ways to make themselves better after having gone through the process once. It is not a casual usergroup, but rather one designated for the Tournament Directors to receive feedback as needed and for experienced organizers to coordinate on other projects, assignments, and large multi-organizer tournaments from time to time.

It was not created for the casual "discussion of a new idea" except in cases where the organizer is struggling to make a certain portion match up with their idea and they need a little extra help in figuring it out. At the moment, it is undergoing a big re-organization and re-focusing to get things back on track in the manner it was originally intended after having been neglected (by me due to other commitments) for several months.

Unfortunately, it will not be open access to everyone, you will need to meet certain requirements so that I can know you have the experience and the commitment necessary to provide useful input to the topics at hand.

EDIT: If you are looking for somewhere to see the public opinion on an idea feel free to use the Tournament Ideas thread, or if you really want to, I guess you can go ahead and make your own tournament organizers clan, but the name has already been used...
