"The Mole" Tourney
This is a tournament based on the reality show "The Mole" (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Mole_%28TV_series%29). Since I have to have a minimum of 16 players, I'm making it with 2 groups of 8 instead of the usual 1 group of 12. The groups will play each other until the final round. Games (maps & settings) will all be random, just like the challenges are on the show.
Only one game slot needs to be open per round, so both premium and freemium players are welcome.
Because the object of "The Mole" is to sabotage your group, keeping them from adding money to the pot, that's what the mole is going to do in this one. Now I'm not going to ask the Moles to deliberately throw games. That would be asking someone to sacrifice points. But the Mole is welcome to do whatever they feel comfortable with (non-offensive stuff!!) to "sabotage" their group. The point being that no one should suspect you're the Mole, but at the same time you keep the sabotage low-key. Could be psychological even.....
The person to figure out who the mole is in the final round wins the pot of (fake) money and with it that "Season" of "The Mole"!
The games would be played alternately in teams and singly, depending on whether the groups are even or not, as there will be a player eliminated from each team at the end of every round, just like on the show. You will be playing the other group for the money to add to your group's pot.
Eliminations:
The eliminations will be done as done on the show. I will post a quiz in the thread for each Season to see who's closest to guessing which in their group is the Mole. ANSWERS TO THE QUIZ QUESTIONS MUST BE PM'ed TO ME, NOT POSTED IN THE THREAD!! The players who guess the least answers correctly will be eliminated.
Because the quiz questions will be about the Mole, the Mole will always move forward.
The Games/Challenges:
Round 1: For each game/challenge won, your team will receive $1000 in your team's pot.
8 players, Each Season will have one player play one of the following:
2 Doubles games & 4 Singles games
Elimination Quiz
Round 2: For each game/challenge won, your team will receive $2000 in your team's pot.
7 players, Each Season will have one player play one of the following games:
1 Triples game, 1 Doubles game, & 2 Singles games
Elimination Quiz
Round 3: For each game/challenge won, your team will receive $4000 in your team's pot.
6 players, Each Season will have one player play one of the following games:
1 Doubles game & 4 Singles games
Elimination Quiz
Round 4: For each game/challenge won, your team will receive $5000 in your team's pot.
5 players, Each Season will have one player play one of the following games:
1 Doubles game, & 3 Singles games
Elimination Quiz
Round 5: For each game/challenge won, your team will receive $8000 in your team's pot.
4 players, Each Season will have one player play one of the following games:
4 Singles games
Elimination Quiz
Final Round:
No game. This is where you'll tell me who, out of the last of your team, you think is the Mole. The first to get it right, wins the pot and tournament in your Season! Because there are two groups/seasons, there should be a winner from each. One winner will be considered winner of "The Mole: Season 1" and the other winner will be winner of "The Mole: Season 2".
Opportunities for Exemptions:
For every round, except the final, there will be an exemption awarded to the winner(s) of the game that ends first. The exemption gives the player(s) an automatic move forward to the next round. So, one way for the Mole to sabotage would be to take the exemption, when they in fact have no need of it.

Now to whoever gets picked to be the Moles:
The Mole(s) CAN win the tournament. If in the event that the Mole is not identified in the final round, they will win the Season. Also, if you're Mole, you're the Mole. No argument is possible. By signing up, you understand that you may be the one picked. And you cannot tell ANYONE that you are the Mole. If you're okay with this, sign up! But you will be able to have fun manipulating those around you...but then again everyone can have that fun as well! This game lets everyone mess with everyone else's heads during their participation. So remember Moles: Be subtle, and be crafty.
