Well, at the moment we have a mass sleepover of my lad's friends. They were going to sleep on the top floor (away from prying parental eyes), but its so effin hot up there, they've brought all the bedding down to the landing below, where they's trying to stay awake very quietly because they know I'm in the office on the computer.

My daughter is already at summer camp, out at Fairview Lake. On Saturday the boy goes there too, and Liz and I have ourselves to ourselves for the first time in a long while.

Well, this is rather odd. I seem to be at a loss for a subject, so I'm making this my subject. But why? I don't know maybe it just fits. Oh well.

The boys have gone now, off to the pool. I haven't had the heart to go and look at the debris yet, but I will once I stop faffing about on CC.

They begged to make their own breakfast, and for me not to supervise.

Looks like they attempted pancakes. Eggs gone, & some sugar. choc chip carton still open. But from the remnants it looks more like scambled egg. Maybe they forgot the flour.

I wouldn't be surprised if they just wanted to see what sugar coated scrambled eggs tasted like.

I hadn't thought of that.

This generation (at least in my family) doesn't seem to be as sugar-mad as we were when we were kids. I used to make a drink by dissolving sugar in water, and sugar sandwiches were fairly common.

My boy has become a big fan of "PBJ"'s since we moved here.

All I remember is that when I was a kid I would experiment with just about any food/drink combination (I once even put a little bit of table salt into my gatorade). While sweets have never appealed to me all that much, if someone had said "I wonder what scrambled eggs with sugar tastes like" I probably would have tried to find out.

A new cause for indignation: I bought the latest issue of Teen Titans Go! for my boy today (and for me too of course), only to discover that it's the last issue! seriously unfair!

Never been a big fan of the Teen Titans. So I don't really care that much.

Yes, but this is the current "introduce kids to comics" version (part of the JoHnny DC line), and thus particularly important.

Ah that is important than. We should strike back. Create our own comic for kids before it's too late.

Did you ever write your own comics? I did when I was little. I created a family of circus acrobats who fought crime, and a very powerful guy called E-Boy who combined Superman and Mr Fantastic's powers in one. I forget what the "E" stood for, but not "Ecstacy, as it wasn't around then.

I've created short comic stretches, usually comedic. My strangest one was based on a misinterpretation of a different comic that a friend of mine was making. Basically in it, a guy gets shot while running in the woods and it causes him to become a werewolf. he takes the event as a sign from god and begins preaching his message around the world. Very strange comic but had a hilarious ending.
