I don't know if anyone has thought of this yet, but I know I would personally find some sort of system that texts your cell phone when it's your turn to be very helpful. It would certainly eliminate much of the hassle of me trying to find a computer when it could be my turn, and of course, stop me from having to sign in and out to check the My Games page.
Specifics:
Players, (I don't know if this would be possible for non-premium members, but would be helpful even so) would have the opportunity to select an option in their preferences where they could input their cell phone numbers and have the option to have messages sent informing them that it is their turn in a particular game. An option would be available to turn this on and off.
This will improve the following aspects of the site:
I imagine this will cut down on some of the strain on the servers as it will allow for fewer players to be constantly refreshing their My Games page. It would also just make it much simpler and easier for players to know its their turn if they lead lives which don't allow for them to spend extended amounts of time at a computer.
A.) The e-mail client would then forward all e-mail to my phone which would be troublesome considering my job requires me to receieve a nearly constant stream of e-mail.
B.) I believe I can assume that not all premium members necessarily try to play an exorbitant number of games at once. I'm sure some pay the membership fee if only to support the site and, if possible, maybe play more than a few games at once when they get the chance. I know I did this for a time. Therefore, it would still be pretty nice to be able to receive the texts if you're only choosing to play 3 or 4 long-term games at once.

Could you not filter it? i.e. all emails from *@conquerclub.com get forwarded to your phone.
Hmm... I may have to check on that, Yeti. I'll look into it, thanks.
As to the cost, I'm not sure becase I'm not sure what exactly something like this would cost. I imagine that it wouldn't really cost anything as all that is essentially happening is that you switch your e-mail for a phone number (most e-mail programs can now send e-mails freely to cell phones) and have the notice sent that way. I could be wrong, but that was just the way I saw it.

Get a blackberry. Set that as your email address for notification of games.
What I'd like to see is a little link in the email that says: take turn and autodeploy. It would then go to that game, start your turn, find whatever territory you have the most troops on, and plop down all your armies on that spot. This would be good for times when you can't get to a PC, don't want to miss a turn - even though you can miss and not get kicked out - because when you miss, all of the auto-deploy bonuses don't accrue, only the deployable bonus.
My ever constant two last games seem to have no end in sight!
Well I agree with B Mac. I'm sure the text messages would be to CC's advantage because it would slow server traffic! The text could be simple and say, "It is your turn in a game." Or something to that effect. E-Mails would prove to be too troublesome because not all phones have the features that allow you to receive E-Mails, but what phone doesn't receive texts? This would also, most likely, speed up games, further enticing new members and pushing more premiums.
