Do the maps require "continents?"

Post by GeneralN20 »

The question is simple, but I haven't seen it here in the forums.

Do the maps require for there to be continents? :?:

The answer is simple as well: no.
And to avoid confusion I like to use the term "bonus region" because, on most maps, they aren't actually "continents."

Circus Max is the first map that comes to minf that has no bonuses whatsoever. There are also a few maps that don't have bonus regions in the tradition sense... gimil New Worlds and Feudal War map give bonuses for holding numbers of territories, not a set group. Berlin allows you to create your own bonus by holding 50% +1 of a the territories in an area. And the Age of Realms maps have territorial bonuses, but no regional bonuses.

Ah right, you can pair resources for a bonus. Again, not a traditional "continent."
