Check out Sudbury. This must have been on a Saturday night.

The girls are out to Bingo and the boys are gettin' stinko,
And we think no more of Inco on a Sudbury Saturday night.
The glasses they will tinkle when our eyes begin to twinkle,
And we'll think no more of Inco on a Sudbury Saturday night.

With Irish Jim O'Connel there and Scotty Jack MacDonald,
There's honky Fredrick Hurchell gettin' tight, but that's alright,
There's happy German Fritzy there with Frenchy getting tipsy,
And even Joe the Gypsy knows it's Saturday tonight.

Now when Mary Ann and Mabel come to join us at the table,
And tell us how the Bingo went tonight, we'll look a fright.
But if they won the money, we'll be lappin' up the honey, boys,
'Cause everything is funny, for it's Saturday tonight

The girls are out to Bingo and the boys are gettin' stinko,
And we think no more of Inco on a Sudbury Saturday night.
The glasses they will tinkle when our eyes begin to twinkle,
And we'll think no more of Inco on a Sudbury Saturday night.

We'll drink the loot we borrowed and recuperate tomorrow,
'Cause everything is wonderful tonight, we had a good fight,
We ate the Dilly Pickle and we forgot about the Nickel,
And everybody's tickled, for it's Saturday tonight

The songs that we'll be singing, they might be wrong but they'll be ringing,
When the lights of town are shining bright, and we're all tight,
We'll get to work on Monday, but tomorrow's only Sunday,
And we're out to have a fun day for it's Saturday tonight. Yeah

The girls are out to Bingo and the boys are gettin' stinko,
And we think no more of Inco on a Sudbury Saturday night.
The glasses they will tinkle when our eyes begin to twinkle,
And we'll think no more of Inco on a Sudbury Saturday night.

We'll think no more of Inco on a Sudbury Saturday night.

Well, you obviously don't know a whole lot about astronomy seeing as you are asking other people if it's a decent telescope, so I'd say no, it wasn't a good purchase. Unless it's a lot cheaper than it looks. Anyway, I think you should've gone with a more basic telescope and seen if you were still interested after using that.

But how is Jay going to actually USE the Telescope if it's balanced on his head?

And ruin my perfectly good tinfoil hat?!

Does Canada have electricity?

I can see stars where I live, right in my backyard. My sister (lives about 4 to 5 miles from me) has an awesome view of the night sky! And if her garage lights are off and you are outside, you can barely see your hand in front of your face, its so dark. There are no streetlights around and it is extremely dark. I'd probably want to set it up in her yard. No major cities within about a 50 mile radius.
A lot less lights in British Colombia than I'd expect....

That is because the growlights are in the closet. ;)

3/4 of Canada's population live within 90 miles of the US/Canadian Border.

Most of Canada's land mass is uninhabited.

You should have listened in Geography class as well. ;)

What's the deal with the lights in Western Canada reaching out to a point?

Well seeing as I'm feeling a little left out,

Actually an interesting comparison to the US, especially the lights of russias radial web out from moscow, to the us plains' strange square grid pattern.

Also intresting how you can see the egypt-sudan boarder as where the nile suddenly stops glowing.

Maybe most of the population is living in the valley of the mountains...and the mountains are formed that way...not sure though, and too lazy to check a map to test this theory.
