I once just lay in the sun for hours without sun screen. My back was ridiculously burnt. I couldn't go to sleep -- I literally had to just run cold water on my neck for me to not hop around in agony. This the night before I left for Japan.

Fortunately I've been slathering on aloe, so there's no peeling as of now
Well the ideal is to avoid the problem in the first place. (NB: the big thing these days is a form of UV that is not covered under the normal rating system, check your bottle to be sure it covers both types of radiation, your dermitoligst will be disappointed at you for doing this decades from now because he won't have income freezing your skin cancers off of your skin.)
But failing to do that, aloe is your best friend. The quick application of aloe is a sure sign of wisdom.

If anyone can figure out how I delete that damn link I will buy them premium.
Just to say sorry for being an arse Happy. I was out of order.
We're deleting our pictures of Courtney? Oh well. I always loved that one with you and Steph.

Wow, you look just like a dark haired version of "Sick Boy" from Trainspotting there! (aka Johnny Lee Miller, for you heathens who haven't seen the film).
Me and my kids on a beach along Highway 1 in California. We saw some elephant seals fighting each other that day. My wife and kids are in my signature.

Sentinel, bit of a Val Kilmer look there.
First time I've ever heard that, DAZ. Is that a good thing or a bad thing? I suppose Val Kilmer is attractive, so... thanks?
