Game Finder - Public vs. Private

Postby fordhamflash on Tue Jul 11, 2006 7:00 pm

I think it would be helpful to filter Public vs. Private games in the Game Finder. When looking for a game, I usually look for Public Games and there is no way to tell the difference except when you try to joing.

Thanks.

How about an indicator of whether or not the game is private?

Mark private games

Postby Herakilla on Tue Nov 07, 2006 11:17 pm

when you use the game finder as a filter it shows public and private games but you cant tell which is which. maybe have one last column on right with like a check for private games or something. that way you dont waste time having to go back and dont get mad

I tend to search for the broad topic of freestyle and standard games. When I forget to check public, I will spend 20 minutes going over every part and person in every game to try to find a good game. Then I click my decided choice and it will be private. Then I will try all the ones in my Top 3. All private. Dang I just wasted 20 minutes. I am a bit of a fanatic for getting the game I will enjoy most, but really. How long will this update take. Put a bold capital P next to the private games. I agree with this.

For example:

Passworded games in game finder

Postby WhereDiddyGogh on Tue Nov 28, 2006 5:34 pm

Just have a suggestion for the passworded games when you go to find a game to play in.

Would there be any way to add to the details of the game (after you have already searched for games) to say whether or not the game is passworded? I know of at least a few people that get annoyed when they go to join a game and it is passworded. Then they have to hit the back button and refresh the page. It just seems like a pain in the butt...and something that does not seem to difficult to add.

Thanks!!! :)

I now tag the private games in the Game Finder similarly to tournament games.

I can't decide whether to do the same on the My Games page or not.

Ahhh...I see where you can choose public games in the Game Finder. Never saw that before you said that.

Thanks!!! :)

P.S. I think you should tag it in the My Games too :)
