actually, it appears that there isn't a "good" candidate (IMO), so I will be selecting the lesser of two evils (McCain).
Besides, who wants Jimmy Carter Jr., someone who's went to 57 states (not a type...it was in a speech), someone who is for abortion and homosexuality....need I continue, because I could
muy_thaiguy wrote:Tell me his "changes" then. And then show me the "changes" he was going to have for his election, but ended up doing the same thing as any other politician has. This seems to either be ignored by many Obama supporters, or they are too mesmerized by his speeches about "change" and "hope" to even notice these things. Fact his, he is another politician.

Lets not even mention that he is more to the middle than is Obama, who may also be honest and have good character, but lets face it, his overly liberal agenda simply is not American mainstream enough to get him elected. The fact that he seems to have Iranian support is bothersome to me.
Down the shit tube with Obama!

DRoZ wrote:You best be trollin... McCain's character?!? Here's a few examples...
During his time in the POW camp in 1969 his first wife (Carol) was severely injured in a car wreck after over 6 months of life-saving surgery (which Ross Perot paid for btw, also someone who would have made a far better president than any of the choices we have today), she was able to make due by herself although it would be in a wheelchair with a catheter and around 6 inches shorter. In 1973 he was release and was "overjoyed to see carol again". Yet when he saw his wife, now overweight and bound to a wheelchair, friends say he was appalled at what had happened to his wife. At this time Robert (a fellow graduate of Annapolis, who wrote a biography on McCain) said "John started carousing and running around with women" which McCain has acknowledged that he had girlfriends during this time. It was in 1979 that he met Cindy, his present wife, while still married to Carol. He flew around the country to see her and began to push for a divorce. This came as a shock to Carol and even the First Family the Reagan's, who through Ross Perot befriended John and Carol. He then married Cindy in 1980, just one month after his divorce. He got a new job from his new father-in-law, Jim Hensley, a multi-millionaire with political connections that enabled his political career.
Fast forward a little over 10 years and McCain's political career is in full swing and Cindy had wound up casting a bad light on McCain with her painkiller addiction, and the always comforting and understanding McCain publicly answers this by calling her a "trollop and cunt"
In 1998 during a republican dinner he tells this joke... “Why is Chelsea Clinton so ugly? Because her father is Janet Reno.” Now don't get me wrong, I am not saying Chelsea is a beauty queen, but how much character does that joke reflect?
These are just a few things I have found, give me a little time I am sure I can find more...
Now after all of this don't assume I am a Obama supporter, I can assure you I am not. In my opinion both of these candidates are awful, I was a Ron Paul supporter. This election shouldn't come as a shock to anyone, in the last few elections it has been full of terrible candidates, why should this year be any different.
I guess I am just saying that genuine and honest aren't the first two words that come to mind when I think about the "maverick"

Honestly, if you believe that anything will change, you are fairly misled. Its pretty clear that Obama is pandering to the leftists of this country. the video clip that you saw is a clip that was put together by a leftist agenda, of leftists and simply hammered away on one topic. The war in Iraq. Give me a break! We are going to be there for a while, and we should be. To pull out of there now would be the biggest "tuck tail and run" bullshit that the US has ever pulled.
McCain will be far more likely to unite the nation with regards to putting bipartisan politics aside and working to reach across the isle to get things done, including energy plans that will actually get implemented. This is to me more likely to put an end to the war in Iraq than anything else.
I heard that those in Venezuela are paying something like 14 cents per gallon for gas. They drill and produce their own. Perhaps its time that we follow suit and make the efforts to tap into out own natural resources. Stop funding the bastards that would behead us as we line up at the pumps, forking our cash over so some fucking Saudi royalty can shit on a golden toilet seat.
As for Iran, I say lets hit them and hit them hard... now. You can play the "look at the monkey, we're not making nukes!!!" game that Ahmadinejad is playing, but I don't buy it. Like it or not, America is hated for its leadership around the globe. You can go and hug up to our enemies if you think it will make them love you more, but I think we should be plotting their demise before they plot ours.
Wanna play some one on one world domination?

Hey, thats pretty cool... is that anything like getting a blow job in the oval office?
Lets face it, if you aren't aware that absolute power corrupts absolutely, then you aren't paying attention. Political leader, war hero, pow... what ever. Have fun digging up shit on McCain, but do spend some time digging up shit on Obama too. I would be willing that Obama's pile isn't as tall as McCain's, but if you account for age, they are probably pretty close.
DRoZ wrote:You are the one who was touting McCain's character, I was just letting you know how wrong you are.
As for Obama... I think he is worthless as well, but my dislike for him will have to be told at a later time.
