Just curious. How many games do you play at once?

The title says it all. The way to compensate for long time waits until next turn is to have several games running at once. I am curious about how many games people here use to play simultaneously.

At times I have had as many as 100+ going / waiting. I have trimmed that number back a good bit. I am slowly rising again though. I am at about 50 right now.

That is interesting. I have 20 ongoing games right now. And for the moment have no problem to remember which game I am playing right now. I don't want to start more games because then they would take more than 30 minutes a day to play all of them (or so I believe). I suppose that once you get more experienced each turn takes less time and you can raise the number of simultaneous games.

You must be a hell of a lot brighter than I, OliverFA. I play 8 (and never any more than that) at any time and probably spend a good 15 minutes on each turn as it comes up. Be in no doubt that I need that time to properly think through my strategy and tactics. I also suspect that if I played many more games than that I would probably click on one and think "Is that my game, really?" and that would trouble me a great deal. 5o games??? 100 games??? Might I hazard a guess that such prodigious gamers must in general be undergraduates and under-worked undergraduates at that? In my day I had a chess board (or the German game Settlers which I played numerous times without ever winning or fully understanding it ), a bong and some Russians which certainly kept me going, but what I would have given for CC back in the year 2000!

I suspect that actually just playing 4 games at a time would yield the best results as one could devote literally hours, if they were obsessed enough, to just four situations. But I find 8 games to be a good compromise. Few enough that I can actually remember what is going on in them (damn the weed for my compromised memory ) and enough to actually get to play six or seven turns a day.

Currently i'm at 66 active with 10 waiting.

Since i got school starting now again after the summer break, then i'll get it down to 50 i think. Though it isnt easy... with all the tournaments im in i can get 15 games to join just like that..

It is lower than normal but alas real life calls and that and the Society of the cooks is all i can handle at the moment

ive got mine down to around 60 right now, just a month or two ago i peeked at around 180

66 ongoing with another 12 waiting and like some of you I have been trying my hardest to trim that number down but that is a hard thing to do.
After I got premium a year and half ago I started out with about 40 and it climbed to over 100 quickly and have been fighting to get it down ever since then

I know it's pathetic, but I've been confined lately (my comp broke and had to be sent to get repaired, so i have to use my mom's...) so I'm down to about um, 2 Well, needless to say, I can't wait to get back! ---C

I'm sitting at 126 right now. I play a lot of tournaments (including Map Blaster), and in times past I've been striving to win on every released map (85 of 95 right now, only 4 "old" maps left of those). And instead of playing all of my games in one sitting, I like to leave for some activity and come back with a game I've got awaiting my latest turn.

been as high as 50 active, play a little to sloppy with that many, currently set my limit at 20, much nicer for me, all 6 player esc., so a good run could take 45 minutes in a game...

I am down to zero right now, because of vacations, etc.

I have had as many as 78. I generally have between 5 and 12 1v1, but if I have a lot of multiple player games, that will go up.

I have two games going right now... and I'm prem.
It's not like I like it, but with work, wife, and a kid, I don't like to use all my free time on CC.
Other hobbies that take up some of my free time, there is only so much free time in a married man's day.
I could spend more time on CC, but then I would need to give up some of the other things that I like to do.
Reading, mountain biking, and working on my car are a few of the things that I have going on.

When I had my premium membership, during the school year I would keep the number of games around 35-50 games.
During the summer, I brought it up to 90+ for a while. It was fun.
