So many things to say -- all these leads came all at once.

First, the way SL put his allegiance bothered me as well. What it sounds like to me is that Athena and her followers are a cult/mafia with an alternate win condition (to wipe out Ares) and that when they fulfill that, they either become neutral or pro-town.

Salubri straight out lying to us is worrysome, but something not out of character for him. His explanation of why seems like something he might do. But should we ignore the mafia mantra: "lynch all liars"?

And furthermore, both of these guys have claimed Xena. What I suspect is going on is that Salubri is actually pro-Ares and his claim was just to get SL killed, his reason being SL as a potential threat to Ares as SL said his job is to help kill Ares and mentioned powers he wants to keep secret. It would explain why Sal would go back on his previous safe claim and why his new claim wasn't very specific.

As for the whole Illy thing -- Illy has denied that he killed Exile, and quite obviously Ani thinks he did. A tough predicament because why wouldn't Iliad simply claim vig if he were scum? Because it's true or WIFOM? I know far less what to make of this situation...

animorph's claim of Heinrich Schliemann seems to make sense, though there was much controversy surrounding the real Heinrich Schliemann.
Such as mislabeling excavation sites, lying about knowing the president, gaining citizenship through false information, even planting artifacts on the sites he excavated.
Not accusing you of anything, just saying, sanity/alignment is a bit up in the air with the name.

I did in fact go to exile. But I did not kill him. It's 14 to lynch but let me just say I am James Bond, a spy. I can go to someone and listen to their conversations. That's what I did to exile. Not kill him. But I did find out for sure that whoever killed him was not scum

Aye, but Homer is a disputed person. Theories of him being blind would complicate the roles [unless Skoffin didn't know that theory]. I'm thinking it's someone in the Iliad itself.

Again, PCM, I agree with that. Heinrich is a history of a false person. He had no knowledge of archaeology, and when he got what he wanted, he stole it and took it back to Germany. I wouldn't believe ani for what he says because of the history of Heinrich, though I don't think it would be based that much on it.

But, this game maybe based around the history of Greece and Asia Minor and people around them.

The1Exile - Herodotus, and he was biased . Came from Asia Minor but Greek heritage.
Clive - Thucydides - Possibly Skoffin's favourite historian because it tells of the Peloponnese wars. His colour is different from Herodotus' maybe because of different faction alliances or because Thucydides basically didn't believe what Herodotus wrote.

T1000's - from the future, obviously. Maybe trying to change the fate of Greek Mythology?

With the other role claims - Xena [didn't she have featured Greek Mythology in the show?], Heinrich Schliemann [obvious], and then there's also Athena and Ares [with rivalry, which is show in the game God of War]. Other claims, I think, I dono, haven't read the thread.

Yes, I want him killed, that's why I make it as ambiguous as possible as to whether he is pro-town or anti-town and propose a situation that makes him legit . Why would I claim my actual powers now? There's no reason. Also, a Multiple Power Absorption through Eating People role claim on day one with no imminent lynch is NOT a safe claim. I did learn in those exchanges, however, that some people take everything you say seriously *cough* Cult of Skoffin *cough*

I was waiting for Athena to say something. This game is based on opposing third parties. Right now me and Athena are third party recruiters/lynchers. We must have the other lynched to win. After one of us is lynched, the winner becomes a normal townie with normal townie WC. I have been silent these past few days but I've been systematically recruiting the better players in this game. If you think you've done a better job of recruiting than me, then try to find me before I find you.

To everyone I've recruited so far, the hunt starts now. Find out who Athena is get her lynched. If you know my name, then just follow my lead. No more hidden messages. Everything's out in the open right now. Town and scum, stay out of this. Once me or Athena get lynched you can keep going with your game.
