[Abandoned] - Winter

I like "Winter" for the title... it reminds me of a book by Ursula K. LeGuin, called the Left Hand of Darkness, which takes place on a planet nicknamed "Winter" because it's just like your map.

Map looks great so far! Love the graphics, can't wait to see it moved further along!

I have really been looking forward to seeing an actual map for this. I was really impressed with your oasis map and I think this one has the potential to be even better.

New Update!
And its the first full image of the map.

The biggest change so far is that the name has been changed to "Winter".

Stuff done:
The map key.
Lighthouse.
The trade buildings by the river.
bridges.
Changed a few things in the village, added more houses.

Stuff to do:
Put more stuff in the village.
Put more bonus buildings everywhere.
Create the bonus section of the map key.
Everything else....

every extra location (mines, docks, lighthouse, etc) will be a one-territory bonus. I will be adding many more locations through my next few updates.

I've made a new sig banner.
The title in the image I just posted is grey. It will be changed to blue to match my sig in the net update.

One difficulty i might have is that I want the graphics on each bonus section to be unique.
I already have:

• Gold Mine
  Silver Mine
  Iron Mine
  Docks
  Lighthouse
  Trade Post
  ... and a few others I've thought up but not put on the map yet.

And I want to have 10 to 15 more, scattered across the map.
Territories farther away provide bigger bonuses.

If you guys can think of anything else I can use, please post them. Cause I'll probably run out of ideas for bonus buildings before too long

I strongly disagree. This is a fantasy map and I don't think offshore drilling (or other real-world influences) should be a part of it.

I also disagree.
I want Winter, like Oasis, to have a sort of old/fantasy feel. The most modern thing on this map is the lighthouse, and I don't want anything more hi-tech than that. Drilling is too modern for me to like.

So, yes to Lumber Mill, Armory, Blacksmith, and dog shed.
No to polar bears and drilling.

Not sure about a fishery. The coast is already getting kinda crowded with bonuses. Maybe it would work along one of the rivers.

Graveyard, why not? I'd give it a +1 bonus, just for fun.
... you could pretend you are recruiting ghosts to fight like they did in LoTR 3...
