My favourite is the Old Testament.
Okay seriously, the Old Testament does have a lot of mythology about it, which is why it is one of my favourites [survive being eaten by a whale, anyone?]
Also, I think Greek, Roman and Egyptian mythology is over rated, but that's only because we have so much information on those subjects.
I would like to learn more about the Celtic beliefs and northern Europe things.
I personally like all mythology.

It's tradition. Besides what am I supposed to hit him with? A nuclear squirrel dipped in bleach?

I know a bit about Celtic mythology but too much to tell here.
Suffice to say there was a lot of fighting, a lot of alcahol and a lot of wierd creatures.

And a lot of exaggeration - if I had a groat for every woman who was the most beautiful woman I'd have, well. a lot of groats.

But the whole idea of the legends was to elaborate on normal life. They told these stories to be larger than life to partly entertain and to partly proove a number of various points depending of the time point.
But having said that, one of the reasons i like celtic mythology is the stories arent just exaggerations, a lot of them are very down to earth and are quite possibly based on real events. Such as the tales of Lludd & Llevelys. Although a lot of preety wierd things happen in those stories there are a lot of points in the story which may well have happened.

Alcohol, violence and wierd creatures, all you need is beautiful women and this would be paradise. Wait what's this?[
