Yet another delegate has deadbeated out of the tournament. kagetora will be replaced by VanDerLok.2 in Group 3.
Group 1 finished off their last session, and Phlaim emerged victorious while Rhinestone80 managed to proceed to the next round despite losing this last session. Spinal received the least amount of support in all, and will leave the conference.
Meanwhile, all other 3 groups have reached their second session of talks. While Group 3 is still waiting to begin, Group 2 and 4 are making good progress in their games. It is still anybody's game at this point.
The Delegates from MWCC and Zebulonia have reached an agreement and although the delegate from Brave Scotlandaland has been out voted he may yet have the opportunity to voice his opposition.
Game # 3167555 1st Ultraman of Zebulonia 2nd mwcc of MWCC 3rd Ryall55 of Brave Scotlandaland
Group 2 made quick work of their remaining 2 talks, completing their last session in less than a day. In both of these 2 sessions, ultraman emerged victorious, gathering the most support and swaying people to vote his way. Ryall55 came in close behind in second both times, but this was not enough to get him into the next round, as mwcc had gathered enough support from the first session to pull him through to the next round. ultraman and mwcc will be joining Phlaim and Rhinestone80 in Round 3, while Ryall55 will be leaving the conference here.
Group 4 also completed their second session, with newcomer biteme143 coming out on top, showing his opponents that he means business. anamainiacks managed to come in second, and with that point guarantees himself a spot in the next round. Meanwhile, Kilazul having lost both sessions will have to do whatever it takes to secure a victory over biteme143.
Group 3 is still in their second session of talks, with delegates taking their time to give their speeches, thus causing the slow progress of the talk overall. All three delegates seem evenly matched at the moment.
With 3 more games to go to the end of Round 2, who will be able to clinch the coveted spots in Round 3? All that and more in the UN CC Conference.
Group 3 completed their remaining two sessions of talks, deciding the delegates who are advancing to the next Round.
In their second session, MikeMcD eventually emerged victorious over the other two delegates after the large amount of time spent on debating. Newcomer VanDerLok managed to clinch second most number of supporters, while nukie trailed behind.
In their third and final session, all three delegates were quick and fiery in their debates, and once again, MikeMcD emerged the winner, this time with nukie coming in second and VanDerLok just a few votes behind nukie.
However, VanDerLok did not have enough points to take him to the final round, and thus will leave the conference here, while MikeMcD and nukie move on to the next round.
With just one session of talks left to complete, the next Round is not far away.
Round 2 has been completed, with anamainiacks taking the win for the last session, securing himself a spot in Round 3. Kilazul's valiant attempt to stay in the game was just not enough, and thus biteme143 will be advancing from Group 4, the only Reserve to get through to Round 3.
Round 3 has started, and the game has been setup, with PMs sent.
All delegates are asked to realise the importance of this game. There is only ONE game in the whole of Round 3, so a mistake in this game could cost you a spot in Round 4. Also, at the chances of a tie overall in Round 4 are high, the tiebreaker for Round 4 will be looking at the position which you got in this game in Round 3. Thus you should be trying to get as high a ranking as possible, for safety's sake.
Remember, this is the only game, so no second chances!
All delegates, except Phlaim, have quickly claimed a subcontinent for themselves, with MikeMcD even gathering the support of the complete continent of Australia.
Despite all this action, it is still anyone's game at the moment. Phlaim still has a fighting chance of remaining in this conference if he focuses on self-preservation for the time being, and the escalating cards are bound to shake things up later as the game progresses.
On another note, all 6 councils are still being represented at present. Security Council - Phlaim International Court of Justice - biteme143 & ultraman Trusteeship Council - anamainiacks & MikeMcD5858 Economic and Social Council - nukie Human Rights Council - Rhinestone80 Environmental Council - mwcc
Thus all councils still have a chance of their location being played at in the final round.
Round 3 ended recently, after anamainiacks managed to eliminate all players in the tournament in one turn. Thus, the order in which he eliminated each player indirectly decided which delegates would stay and which would go.
In the end, it was biteme143 who was eliminated first, followed by Phlaim. Thus these two delegates will be leaving the conference, while the remaining 6 delegates proceed to Round 4.
Round 4 is where every delegate will face every other delegate individually in a debate. For delegates having trouble understanding the image on the first page, this should help: Top Left Table - Lists each delegate and the number of wins, listing the current standings. Top Right Table - Lists letters from A to F, each representing a delegate. Bottom Table - Lists the order in which each delegate will play every other delegate. The letters A to F correspond to that listed in the Top Right Table.
Also, only 5 councils are now represented in the conference. They are: International Court of Justice - ultraman Trusteeship Council - anamainiacks & MikeMcD5858 Economic and Social Council - nukie Human Rights Council - Rhinestone80 Environmental Council - mwcc
2 talks in Round 4 have concluded. ultraman and anamainiacks emerged on top in each of their talks, over their opponents Rhinestone and MikeMcD respectively.
Rhinestone and MikeMcD have arranged for their head-to-head debate to begin, and should commence within the next 48 hours at most.
Meanwhile mwcc and nukie are continuing their talks, with mwcc close to bringing the session to an end. The odds are against nukie at this point, but the fight isn't over till it's over.
All delegates should not lose hope at this point, as this is just the start of the round, and there are still 4 more games to catch up.
4 more games down, and there are 6 completed in total so far.
The round robin is still in progress, and it's too early to say whether anyone's confirmed themselves a spot in the finals.
More importantly, it definitely isn't time to call it quits for people at the bottom end of the table. Each person has 3 more games to go, and anything can happen!
2 debates were over in a hurry, ending within days of their commencement.
Rhinestone claimed a win over mwcc, breaking mwcc's winning streak and at the same time putting himself on par with mwcc in the overall standings.
Meanwhile, MikeMcD managed to clinch his first win of the round over ultraman. Thus, ultraman's perfect record was also broken, putting him a tie with mwcc and Rhinestone, while MikeMcD put himself in a better position to make the final four.
The debate between mwcc and ultraman has since commenced, while MikeMcD and Rhinestone wait for their opponents, nukie and anamainiacks respectively, as the pair finish their third debate of the round.
Sorry I didn't update sooner, I'm caught in the midst of my End-of-Year exams.
The third session of debates came to a close, seeing nukie claiming his first win in the Round over anamainiacks. The debate seemed to be going in anamainiacks' way till the supporters suddenly displayed bias towards nukie, and dice rolls never found favour with anamainiacks.
anamainiacks' bad luck continued in fourth session, where the presence of biased supporters made him easy meat, with Rhinestone making a sweeping victory over anamainiacks with tact and skill. This gave Rhinestone his third win in Round 4, thus ensuring his advancement into the final round, Round 5.
ultraman also sealed his advancement when he recently took out mwcc in his fourth debate session debate, bringing his win count to 3.
In the last session going on in the fourth session, MikeMcD seems to be making quick work of nukie, having the upper hand. It will be hard for nukie to get back to his feet, unless MikeMcD gets struck with bad luck.
The fifth session is about to begin for all players. Do be prepared for this last debate!
anamainiacks will be desperately trying to pull a win over ultraman to have a minute chance at all to get into Round 5, while ultraman will be looking to take this debate to have more to add to his resume, and it is unlikely he will go down without a fight.
nukie will also be trying to get a win over Rhinestone, being in the same boat as anamainiacks is. Rhinestone on the other hand, is in the exact same position as ultraman, and will put up a valiant fight against nukie.
mwcc and MikeMcD will be fighting equally hard in their last debate. With their scores potentially being tied up (after Mike completes Session 4), these two will be looking to guarantee themselves a spot in the finals by taking a win. The delegate that is defeated will unfortunately be at risk of being cut off from the conference, as anamainiacks and/or nukie may win their games and cause a tie-breaker between them.
With regards to Round 5 news, as Rhinestone was the first delegate guaranteed to be advancing to Round 5, the map of his Council will be the first to be played in Round 5. ultraman who was the second, will have his man being played the second.
Thus the play order is currently as such: 1. Rhinestone80 of Macarena - Human Rights Council(CCU) 2. ultraman of Zebulonia - International Court of Justice(Greater China) 3. ? 4. ?
ultraman wrote:Ultraman of Zebulonia has eliminated our tournament host in a lively debate on the Senate floor and advances after taking 4 of 5 of the debates.
haha XD love the way you put it.
last 2 games of this round have been created. PMs sent. nukie MUST win this game if he wants to get in!
good luck all delegates this will decide who snags our last 2 spots in the final
