So, I know you're kind of stalling, but I wanted to give a shout-out to this map anyway. We're all ready for it to be in play, so what kind of timeline do you think you're working with?

Whenever the heck my Citadel staff contact forwards my memo to the Citadel licensing people, and whatever the layover time with them is. And that's assuming I get licensing approval at all.

Call me naive, but I don't think the map deserves any other name than the proper one. Switching it to a euphemistic term like "El Cid" would take away a lot of it for me, and I'll be constantly reminded of me not having the patience to get the title done right.

I posted a lengthy post about copyright and this map but it looks like the server ate it.

So I will sum it up. As long as you do not use logotypes belonging to The Citadel, there is no infringement here. Also, if you rty and contact the Citadel people, they will deny you, and will therefore have legal ground to file an injunction. So I wouldn't pass it by them.

I don't think you're naive in any way. Using the real name would probably be best. I don't know anything about the place. However, if there was a good nickname that really captures the spirit, that could be good too.

What's the deal with the "Beta" maps? Possibly you could go with an alternate name during the Beta phase, and then upgrade when the permission slip gets signed. No biggie, I just don't want you to get stranded in the Forge.

Okay, I'm sick and tired of being put on hold by bureaucracy. As far as I'm concerned, my ethical commitment has been fulfilled and I'm finishing this map up. If during beta phase (or whenever) they finally pay attention to me and give me licensing, I'll add it to the map.

Expect Version 24 in this space shortly.

I use no logotypes in any form, not even the very common silhouette of the 2nd Battalion Tower (as viewed from the ground, not above).
