Yeah they ran out so fast. I had a friend of mine waiting early to get tickets and they were already sold out long before he got a chance.

I still buy cds. There is just something more nostalgic when you see your first cd (I think it was Hotel California for me) than seeing the first song you downloaded onto your ipod (Don't Fear The Reaper). This brings up a good question, what was the first cd you ever bought?

I bought Snakes & Arrows and Evil Urges as soon as they came out. They are both good CDs to own. The new Kings of Leon "Only By the Night" is worth checking out. And the Verve "Forth", their first CD in a decade.
Also anything by The Brian Jonestown Massacre if you don't own any.

By the time I bought a CD player I already had an extensive album and tape collection. So I had to decide "What do I need to hear on this new compact disc format?" The answer was Led Zeppelin I & II. Looking back it was kind of weird for my first 2 CDs to be the same artist but that's what I wanted. My brother who was with me when I bought the CD player said "OK" and bought Led Zeppelin III. So for the first week or two I only had 3 CDs on my player: Zeppelin I - III. Then I bought the Doors first one on CD. And it began. I now own over 1000 CDs.

On another note: You guys should play the Song Game in Forum Games.

Wow. That really was coherent.

On another note (no pun intended), my karate class did a demo for a Japanese Festival run through the University, yet held at the High School. We did kata (forms, and it was basic), then open hand upper rank katas (3 of us), then knife and stick disarms, then 2 more upper rank open hand katas, basic throws, last set of open hand katas, then advanced throws, then 1st set of weapons katas, then escapes, then some more weapons, then one more set of weapons, and then a grappling match and a sparring match at the same time. Immediately following our demo, the next group was about kimono dressing. I somewhat felt sorry, yet at the same time I was trying to stay awake to listen to what they were saying (I was standing up, mind you). So, I'm kind of tired after that and many chores today.
